We're all still alive we swear

HEY!

I know what you're thinking. The last time you had any news was more than a year ago. WELL WE'VE BEEN BUSY, LAY OFF.

But serious, Jeanna has graduated from Tisch Drama and proceeded to perfrom in a new play by Lewis Black at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, then jump right into a new music-theatre rock-opera-ish work by Karen O at the incredibly hip St. Ann's Warehouse in DUMBO.

Matt and Andrew have been writing, performing, producing, promoting and rocking the pants off of their political musical sketch comedy group Political Subversities, about to enter its third year as a regular performer at the PIT in NYC, as well as pursuing other projects hither and yon.

BUT WHAT ABOUT TENURED FACULTY!?!?!?

We have two new videos in the works! and if the universe plays its cards right, we'll announce some live performances one of these days!

Thanks for stopping by. Check out our videos, drop us a comment and let us know if you ROFLed, WAFFLED, or anything else people leave on comment boards in all caps, and we'll see you soon!

The Code

Hey Internet!

We finally (FINALLY) released a new video. (THE CODE) We're awfully sorry for the wait, but Jeanna was real busy with school, shakespeare (they're dating) and HammerkatzNYU, and Andrew and Matt have been kicking a lot of political-comedy ass over at the P.I.T. in Chelsea with Political Subversities.

But that doesn't mean we have forsaken you! This is the first of three videos we shot in the past month and a half. the other two are still in post. BUT BE READY.

LOVE,

What happened to April?

We asked the same question, but April didn't want to talk about it so we just let it go.

But the good news is that Tenured Faculty is kicking into high gear to create some new videos before Jeanna runs off to Amsterdam for July and August. We shot one last week, and it's in post-production right now. Our next shoot is on the calendar for the end of the month.

We also performed recently at The Not Too Late Show, after we were asked back by the ever-affable Ryan Willard. It was a lot of fun, and we tried really hard to embarrass Matt.

We also bought a camera! It's a Panasonic HDC-TM700, which is a high-end consumer camcorder. also we bought a bunch of sound stuff, and some wires, a tripod, a boom-pole, a lot of sandwiches and new desk for Andrew's room. Some of which are more related to our work than others.

Keep your ear out for the new videos dropping and for our next live performance! Join the mailing list and/or "like" our facebook fan page to stay in the loop!

Best,

Live Show!

We're performing live on Friday the 19th of March.

The show is at 10pm in the East Village at Teatro IATI at 64 E 4th st btw Bowery and 2nd Ave.

It's not just us! We're performing alongside Badman, a UCB Theatre house improv team, and the evening will hosted by charming rascal and funny dude Ryan Willard. (Charming rascal just sounded good, I actually haven't met Ryan yet, so I can't really confirm that he's necessarily rascally, though he seems charming enough via email.)

We're looking forward to trying out some fresh material and making your face hurt (with laughter.) We'd be super stoked to see you there!

(We might even screen the illegal, copyright violating version of DADS. Don't tell the cops.)

All the best,

Dominatrix featured on ology.com

Our sketch, Dominatrix, is featured right now as the viral video of the week at http://random.ology.com/. Which is the etc. section of ology.com. Dominatrix continues to draw lots of views on youtube (currently about 13,300 total), primarily because it's called Dominatrix. Hopefully it's getting featured on ology.com because it's funny, not because of the high potential for leather bondage.

Janie's Cabin

Hello and Happy New Year from the Tenured Faculty House!

We have a new video sketch out! Janie's Cabin.

It features a number of our super-talented very funny friends. In the sketch they play our friends. It was a big stretch for everyone. Jabari Brisport makes yet another appearance (we never get tired of Jabari) and Stephanie Hsu, Brad Mielke and Rachel Wenitsky all joined the adjunct faculty list.

We were especially excited about our first time working with filmmaker Scott Riehs, who directed, shot and edited the sketch. He's a fantastic dude and we owe him a big thank you.

We hope you like the video, and even if you don't, we hope you spread it around the internet! Word of mouth is the only way we get around.

Some more live performances are in the works, more to come on that soon!

Love,

kissing IS hard

Check out our new video, "Kissing is Hard."

It may or may not be based on Matt's actual attempts to kiss girls.

In other exciting news: Andrew's birthday is Tuesday (the 24th!). In honor of said occasion, he hopes you'll spread our new videos around the internet like delicious melty butter all over a freshly toasted bagel. (plain or whole wheat, your choice. but no onion.)

Also, it's Thanksgiving on Thursday! 2/3s of Tenured Faculty will be having the traditional American meal together. 1/3 of Tenured Faculty will be disappointing the other 2/3s by leaving us and going home. but that's ok Other 1/3. spend time with your family! we don't mind! really! we mean we just wanted to make some memories, but it's fine. really. no, don't apologize now, it's too late now. just go. GO. We're not yelling. fine. whatever. We're fine. We're not angry. It's just thanksgiving... ... we love you.

NEW VIDEO!

We have at long last finished and released DADS!

We hope that you'll love it and watch it ten times and pass it along to everyone you know (or at the very least, to your dad.)

A lot of talents came together on this one: Jabari Brisport, Travis Arts, Rohan Kymal, Sean Ireland, and Eddie Gutierrez as the other dads. Plus Matt Carr and Lindsey Weiner providing a cover of Joe Cocker's cover of the Beatles' "With a Little Help From My Friends." Topped off with David Siderov directing and shooting and editing.

We premiered the video at our performance at Fresh Ground Pepper last night. It went over extremely well, and we had a great time performing our new live sketches. Be looking forward to more live performances in the coming months.

How can you find out about said performances? You can become a fan of ours on facebook (www.facebook.com/TenuredFaculty) OR you can get hooked up for an RSS feed from this site, OR you can send us an email at TenuredFaculty@gmail.com and put 'newsletter' in the subject line. Any of those options will ensure that you receive notice of new videos and upcoming performances.

Thanks for coming to the site!

Live Nov. 6th

We're going to be performing a handful of sketches tonight (Fri. Nov. 6th) at the Producers Club in midtown. The show starts at 10pm, but we're the closing act. There should be a lot of great groups and it's only a dollar to get in. The event is part of The Centrifuge's Fresh Ground Pepper performance series. This month the theme is comedy. Hence our presence. You can get more details via the facebook event. Here's the url for the event page:

We're Oozing.

By oozing I mean that we've put our videos up on Funny Or Die and thus are oozing out across the internet. I'd like to think we're spreading or racing, but once I had typed oozing I couldn't turn back. it just looks so cool. I imagine people saying it in two parts after someone says a real zinger: "Oooo, Zing!"

So: If you like Funny Or Die, then hit us up with some Funny votes and keep us afloat in that community!

Also: There's a rather large chicken wire and paper mache sphere taking shape in the Tenured Faculty House living room. It's for a sketch. but I'm not gonna tell you what sketch. (Ooooo, Zing!)

So much news

Here's the run down:

We just got our business cards in the mail. BUSINESS CARDS! I'll just keep those in my briefcase. They're really publicity materials. We'll leave them places in the hope people will be intrigued enough to go to the website, and of course to give to girls at parties in the hope it makes us look cool.

We shot a new sketch earlier this week! It's in post-production. AKA on David Sidorov's desk while he's busy with the HammerkatzNYU show on Saturday. But soon!

Sooner than that, we finally have a copyright friendly version of DADS! put together. It should be up here very soon. Matt is literally uploading it to College Humor as I type this. The version on the website/youtube will be a higher quality file (for those of you who care about the finer points of video quality) so it will take a bit more coordination to get it online and for Paul our INCREDIBLE webdesigner/website builder/master of awesomeness to put it up on the site.
